VERDEN, Germany, Aug. 7, 2026–Charlotte Dujardin on her own Secret Agent won the World Young Horse Championships first qualifier for 7-year-old horses Friday in what was viewed as a prime prospect for international Grand Prix.
Secret Agent, a German-bred Hanoverian stallion (Secret x De Niro), scored a winning 80.645% with marks of 9.2 for trot, 9s for canter and submission, 7 for walk and 8.9 for perspective.
Charlotte was competing for Britain in her first international championship since returning to the sport late last year after an absence for a year.
Denmark’s Theresa Rosenkilde on the Danish-bred mare Brandtbjergs Divya (Hesselhøj Donkey Boy x Blue Hors Don Olymbrio) was runner-up 80.140%. The pair was awarded 8.8 for walk, trot, submission and perspective and 8.6 for canter.
Tessa Kole of the Netherlands on the Dutch-bred mare Odi Murona (Blue Hors Farrell x Glock’s Johnson TN) placed third on 79.593% with 8.4 for trot, 8.5 walk, 8.8 canter and 8.8 for both submission and perspective.
The 7-year-old division of these championships had 41 starting combinations representing 17 nations.
