USA’s three-time Olympian Adrienne Lyle rode Helix to a convincing victory in the Neustädter Pferdesommer CDI4* Grand Prix in Germany Friday.
The win on the 14-year-old Dutch-bred gelding on a score of 71.391% was the fourth in five starts–three of them in Germany–this year and since returning from a year’s break after the 2025 World Cup Final.
Quinn Iverson, a long time student of Adrienne’s, posted a personal best 69.370% on Gremlin 41, 11-year-old German-bred gelding, to place fourth.
Germany’s 2026 World Cup rider Moritz Terffinger on the 14-year-old Oldenburg stallion Morricone were awarded 70.304% for runner-up in only their third Big Tour start after a successful Under-25 record.
Marie-José Calis of the Netherlands on the 10-year-old mare Limited Edition placed third on 69.826%.
Meagan Davis also of the U.S., and who is a reserve for the World Championship team for Aachen, Germany next month rode the 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding Toronto Lightfoot to 8th place on 67.804%.
Adrienne and Helix, owned by Zen Elite Equestrian Center, have produced the highest CDI Grand Prix results of any of the Americans currently competing in Europe and preparing for the World Championships dressage beginning in less than two weeks.
However, Adrienne did not nominate herself and Helix for the U.S. team at Aachen so could not be considered. The team medals at Aachen will be decided by the top three scores of up to four combinations from each nation in the Grand Prix. Placing of the U.S. team will have no impact on qualification for the Los Angeles Olympics in two years as the home squad is automatically qualified as long as the minimum required results are met.
Adrienne is also entered in this Neustädter Pferdesommer in the CDI1* Prix St. Georges on Hussmmanns Topgun, 10-year-old Danish-bred gelding sired by Totilas and also owned by Zen Elite.
Katie Duerrhammer on Rosebank VH, 8-year-old Swedish stallion owned by Kylee Lourie, will also contest the CDI1* Small Tour. Katie rode Quartett on the 2022 U.S. World Championship team that qualified a team for Paris.
All four Americans are based in Wellington area of south Florida.
