Ellesse Gundersen and the home-bred Quintessential 4 and Kevin Kohmann and Sonata MF have been added to the U.S. Equestrian Federation Dressage Development Program.

Ellesse, this year’s national Grand Prix champion on the 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding, are currently in Europe a week ahead of representing the United States on the continent for the first time where she will compete at Hagen, Germany.

Kevin, who like Ellesse is based in Wellington, Florida, was named to the development program with the 11-year-old American-bred mare owned by Diamante Farms of his wife’s family. The pair began international Big Tour last month.

The two combinations join 17 other rider and horse partnerships in the development program listed behind two pairs on the Elite list and three pre-Elite.

Ben Ebeling of Wellington and Bergerac 13, 6-year-old Hanoverian gelding, and Lindsey Holleger of Aiken, South Carolina and WSI Royalty, 5-year-old KWPN mare, were named to the Emerging Young Horse Program.

Kat Fuqua of Atlanta and her Bon Ami 36, 10-year-old Oldenburg gelding, and Rosa Murphy of Cambridge, Massachusetts and her Hotstuff, 14-year-old KWPN gelding were entered in the Emerging Athlete Program. Both competed at the youth Nations Cup in Hagen earlier this month. Kat Fuqua competes in both dressage and jumping,
