BALVE, Germany, June 6, 2026–Isabell Werth on Wendy de Fontaine won Germany’s Grand Prix Special Championship with Frederic Wandres on Bluetooth OLD taking silver and Charlott-Maria Schürmann on Dante’s Pearl OLD bronze. Isabell placed second on Viva Gold OLD, but was not declared reserve with two horses.
The all-German judging panel awarded Isabell and the 12-year-old Danish-bred mare that was her 2024 Olympic gold medal mount a score of 81.510% for the victory, a day after capturing the Grand Prix. On Viva Gold, the 10-year-old stallion Isabell began competing internationally just three months ago scored 77.823%.
Frederic Wandres on Bluetooth, a Paris Olympic and 2025 European Championship team mate, was close behind on 77.687%.
Charlott-Maria and the 11-year-old Dante Weltino mare that began Big Tour just over three months ago scored 76.431% for the bronze.
Charlott-Maria in 2009/2010 competed in the European Junior Championships on World of Dreams, the mare that was ridden and developed by U.S. Olympian Michelle Gibson who was that trainer at Diamante Farms in Wellington, Florida at the time.
