Wizard, that Adrienne Lyle competed in London for her first Olympics, has died at age 27.
Adrienne as assistant to Debbie McDonald who was trainer to the Thomas family at their River Grove farm in Idaho, took over the Oldenburg gelding in 2008.
The pair initially showed in California and two years later were selected to compete in Europe.
Following success on the Florida circuit, including victories in both the CDI5* Grand Prix and Freestyle in Wellington in the winter of 2012 were chosen for the U.S. team at London.
Based in Wellington by 2014, Adrienne and Wizard won seven of their 11 starts on the developing winter circuit.

That summer, the duo were on the U.S. Nations Cup team at Aachen, Germany.
A month later, they were on the fourth-placed team at the World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France, their last competition.
Wizard was retired during the World Cup Final at Las Vegas in 2015, appropriately in the Thomas & Mack Arena named for the family that owned the horse as well as a major donor to creation of the facility.
