HAGEN, Germany, April 26, 2026–Mount St. John Freestyle was ridden by Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour of Denmark to a personal best score to win the Horses & Dreams CDI4* Grand Prix Special Sunday.
The world No. 1 rider and horse now aged 17 scored 83.085% that is the highest score for the Special since Charlotte Dujardin posted 84.149 on Freestyle in October 2020.
The highest Special score by Charlotte “Lottie” Fry on Glamourdale was 82.508% logged at the World Championship she captured in 2022 and 82.371% by Zonik Plus with Justin Verboomen aboard placing first at the European Championships last year.
Cathrine took over the ride on Freestyle, a mare, in late 2023. The latest results come four months before the World Championships in Aachen, Germany.
Germany’s Ingrid Klimke on Vayron NRW, 15-year-old stallion, was runner-up on 74.915%.
Maria von Essen of Sweden on Invoice, 14-year-old gelding, placed third on 73.979%.
