OCALA, Florida, April 24, 2026–Jennifer Williams on Joppe K won the World Equestrian Center CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle Friday for the first Big Tour musical performance victory in the rider’s homeland.
Jennifer and the 12-year-old Dutch-bred gelding that she has partnered since the age of five, were awarded 75.460% for the win. The five judges, however, were split on deciding the top three combinations.
Jennifer and Joppe K were placed first by two judges.
Ashley Holzer on Hawtins San Floriana, the British-bred 14-year-old mare, scored 74.880% for runner-up with two judges placing the pair first.
Ellesse Gundersen, like the others on the podium based in Wellington, received 74.155% on Quintessential 4, 12-year-old gelding with one judge giving the duo the highest mark.
Jennifer who has competed Joppe K on U.S. Nations Cup teams on both sides of the Atlantic and has been successful in Grand Prix and Special. Their only previous Big Tour Freestyle win was in Canada 2 1/2 years ago.
“I wanted something that I could really rock out to, that every time I hear it, I want to be pumped up and inspired,” Jennifer said of her freestyle. “I really wanted the crowd to get behind it and have a great time watching it. Joppe always grows with the atmosphere and with the clapping. He loves that kind of thing.”
