WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 19, 2026–The United States team won the Nations Cup Thursday, breaking a five-year streak by Germany that placed second ahead of Canada in third.

The U.S. team of Anna Marek, Meagan Davis, Jordan LaPlaca and Ashley Holzer scored 205.631, Germany 205.043 and Canada 204.196.

The competition in its 15th year at Wellington’s Global Dressage Festival kicks off the trans-Atlantic series.

Anna Marek of the Ocala area community of Williston rode Fayvel, the 16-year-old gelding that she competed in the 2024 World Cup Final, to a score of 69.435% to lead the U.S. team to victory.

Meagan Davis of Loxahatchee, Florida on Toronto Lightfoot, the 13-year-old Totilas sired gelding scored 68.544% while four-time Olympian Ashley Holzer on the British-bred Hawtins San Floriana scored 67.652% to complete the three results from the four-member teams that counted toward the Nations Cup.

The win for the U.S. was remarkable in that two originally selected combinations pulled out and Anna Marek on Fayvel and Ashley Holzer on San Floriana were drafted by team chef d’equipe Christine Traurig to contribute to the victory.

Canada’s Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu on Jaccardo, the 12-year-old gelding that has shown success, was the second highest scoring combination on 69.826%.
