WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 18, 2026–Canada will kick off the 15th year of the Nations Cup Grand Prix Thursday with the German team second and USA third to go.
Germany is seeking to extend its streak of five years of victories while Canada and the United States will try for gold at the Global Dressage Festival where the team competition kicks off the 2026 trans-Atlantic series.
Canada, Germany and USA were the only countries to declare teams for this year’s CDIO3* with $40,000 in prize money spread over the team event and individual results in the Grand Prix Special and the Freestyle.
Each team has four members starting with the top three results for each in the Grand Prix to decide team placings.
The U.S. is the only team with three rider and horse combinations each scoring at least 70%. Meagan Davis and Toronto Lightfoot, 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding, logged 72.108% last month.

Canada’s Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu on Jaccardo, 12-year-old KWPN gelding, has the highest of all at 72.783% posted in January with team mate Camille Carier Bergeron on Finnlanderin at 70.130%.
Frederic Wandres, 2024 Olympic team gold medal rider for Germany, has the highest previous score on his team, 71.326% on Verrenberg in Florida in January.
