Charlotte Dujardin, with six international starts on her record since returning from a year-long suspension, has climbed to No. 18 in the world and the fourth-ranked British rider with the world championships including team competition scheduled for next August.

Justin Verboomen of Belgium, the reigning European champion on his Zonik Plus, is the No. 1 ranked rider for the fourth month.

Isabell Werth of Germany stands second and Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour of Denmark third.

British riders fill the places fourth through sixth–Becky Moody at No. 4, Charlotte Fry fifth and Carl Hester sixth. Charlotte moves up to 18th from 162nd place on the FEI–International Equestrian Federation–rankings from a month earlier. Since her return to competition, she has competed Brave Heart four times for two wins, a second and a third place and two victories on Alive and Kicking.

The rankings were released the same day Charlotte and Carl Hester reported that Valegro, her triple gold medal mount that dominated dressage championships for several years, and Uthopia that was a team mate ridden by Carl on the 2012 gold squad, had been put down.

For horses, that the FEI ranks separately, Great Escape Camelot ridden by Raphael Netz of Germany jumped to 18th from No. 217 at the end of October.
