ERNING, Denmark, Oct. 18, 2025–Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour on Mount St John Freestyle claimed the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday, breaking 90% mark for the third time in the past year.

Cathrine and the 16-year-od Hanoverian mare scored 90.175% in the opening competition of the 10-event Western European league leading to the annual championship Final at Fort Worth, Texas next April. The score was nine percentage points greater than the runner-up.

The partnership of Cathrine, ranked No. 3 in the world, and Freestyle led Denmark to silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics and six weeks since taking individual silver at the European Championships.

Patrik Kittel of Sweden on his 2024 championship mount Touchdown, 13-year-old Swedish Warmblood gelding, placed second on 81.645%

Fellow Swede Maria von Essen on Invoice, 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding, was third on 81.040%.

The next qualifier to claim one of the nine places from Western Europe in the Final lineup of 18 riders and horses is scheduled for Lyon, France at the end of October
