Justin Verboomen of Belgium and his Zonik Plus remain atop the world rankings for the second month while Becky Moody and her home-bred Jagerbomb become the top British partnership for the first time.

Justin and the nine-year-old Hanoverian stallion that were individual and freestyle gold medalists at the Europeans stayed atop both the separate FEI rider and horse standings as of the end of September.

Isabell Werth moved up one place to second in the rider rankings though her Olympic and European team gold medal mount, Wendy de Fontaine, dropped to 46th in the world.

Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour of Denmark moved into third among riders, up two places from the previous month.

Becky Moody remained in fourth place as a rider, surpassing team mate Charlotte “Lottie” Fry who dropped to fifth from second. Jagerbomb, her 11-year-old gelding, climbed to No. 2 in the world, succeeding Lottie’s Glamourdale that dropped to third place.

Carl Hester moved up one place to sixth while his championship Fame moved up two spots to fourth.

German team riders Frederic Wandres dropped one place to seventh while Katharina Hemmer remained in the eighth spot. However, Frederic’s  Bluetooth OLD was at No. 5 for the second month while the American-owned Denoix PCH ridden by Katharina was up a place to sixth.

In the CDI2* level, Spain’s José Antonio Garcia Mena remained atop the standings while Canada’s Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu jumped to second from 11th. Brittany was third at the 1* level, up from sixth the previous month behind Dinja van Liere of the Netherlands at No. 1 and Sweden’s Sophie Lexner second.
