Proud James, KWPN Stallion Ridden by Mette Sejbjerg Jensen, Captures World 5-Year-Old Championship

VERDEN, Germany, Aug. 10, 2025–Proud James, a KWPN stallion ridden by Mette Sejbjerg Jensen captured World Five-Year-Old Championship gold Sunday, and the rider also took bronze on Straight Horse Leonardo for Denmark.

Proud James (Jameson RS2 x Johnson) was awarded 90.600% for the title, with 9.3, the highest in the final for trot, 8.3 walk, 9 canter, 9.2 submission and 9.5 perspective.

Viva Diamond, an Oldenburg mare ridden by Linda Weiss of Germany, took silver on 89.200%. The trot received 8.8, walk 9.3, canter 8.5, submission and perspective each 9.

Straight Horse Leonardo, a Danish stallion (Lord Europe x De Niro) ridden by Mette Sejbjerg Jensen who also piloted the gold medal horse, took bronze on a personal best 87.400%, with 8.8 for trot, 7.8 walk, 9.1 canter and 9s for submission and perspective.
