ACHLEITEN, Austria, July 25, 2025–USA’s Benjamin Ebeling rode Bellena to a personal best score to win the CDI4* Grand Prix Friday for the first victory in Europe for the American partnership.
Benjamin of Wellington, Florida and the 15-year-old Hanoverian mare scored 71.114% to top the 15 starters in the qualifier for the Freestyle. He took over the ride on Bellena from his father at the beginning of this year.
Germany’s Lisa Müller on Gut Wettlkam’s D’Avie FRH, 13-year-old Hanoverian stallion was runner-up on 69.973%.
Fellow American’s Erin Nichols of Yorba Linda, California on the 16-year-old Elian Royale placed eighth on 67.527%.
Victoria Max-Theurer on her Tokyo and Paris Olympic mount Abegglen FH NRW on her home ground won the Grand Prix for the Special on 70.000%.
