BALVE, Germany, June 12, 2025–Olympic team gold medalists Isabell Werth on Wendy de Fontaine and Frederic Wandres on Bluetooth OLD placed first and second in the Grand Prix Thursday to qualify for the German Championships over the weekend.
Isabell and the 11-year-old Danish Warmblood mare were awarded 78.380% by the five German judges for the victory in the national competition.
Frederic and the 15-year-old Oldenburg gelding scored 76.700% for runner-up.
Katharina Hemmer on the 13-year-old gelding Denoix PCH placed third 75.160%.
Fellow team rider Jessica von Bredow-Werndl whose TSF Dalera BB was retired after the Paris Games scored 73.920 for fourth on Diallo, the 10-year-old gelding that she began competing at international Big Tour in April.
The Championship Grand Prix Special will be held Saturday and the Freestyle Sunday.
