SHERWOOD, Oregon, May 31, 2025–Geñay Vaughn and Gino won the Ginny Rattner CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday on a personal best score to boost the World Cup partnership into fifth place in the $250,000 US Open qualifying and assured of a start at the final in California in mid-November.

Geñay and the 14-year-old KWPN gelding scored 75.875% for the fourth qualifying victory for a total of 80 points. The result in the last qualifier scheduled for California puts her behind Anna Marek of Dunellen, Florida on 105 points, Kristina Harrison-Antell of Los Angeles and Eline Eckroth tied in second on 86 and Evelyn Eger of German in fourth on 85.

Nadine Schwartsman of Boise, Idaho and Royal Flash, 14-year-old Rhinelander gelding, was runner-up on 68.835% and is now placed eighth on 66 points.

Canada’s Brittney Simpson on Kartsevo Goldfinch, 14-year-old KWPN stallion, scored 63.685% for third place in the Freestyle in which there were only three competitors but has also been awarded 66 points for a two-way tie in eighth.

Three more qualifiers, all on the U.S. East Coast with the next at Devon, Pennsylvania in four months, remain of the 25 to determine the top 18 combinations to earn a share of the prize money–$50,000 for the top finishers and $200,000 for the final at Thermal, California.
