Laura Graves, an Olympian  for the United States, will become the rider of Lider Seven, an 11-year-old Lusitano stallion that has been successful at Grand Prix.

The announcement of collaboration was made Saturday by Romance Farm Inc., owned by six-time Olympian and former U.S. Dressage Coach, Robert Dover, with Laura, the former the only American rider be ranked world No. 1 ranked.

“Robert, who trains at the fabulous, Beauty Central Equestrian Center in Wellington, Florida, owned by Raquel Rizzuto, is thrilled that their recently acquired, stallion, Líder Seven, will be showcased by Laura later this year,” the announcement stated.

“I could not be happier for both the owners of this amazingly gifted stallion and Laura, one of the finest riders in the world, and look forward to a great future for them and the USA!”

The 17.2-hand (174.7cm) buckskin stallion has been described by Robert as “quite simply the finest horse of any breed I have ridden and wil be a game changer for both the Lusitano breed and all Warmblood breeders around the world.”

Lider was developed by Jorge Gabriel of Casa Lusitana and in 2024 was declared by the U.S. Dressage Federation reserve Grand Prix champion. At the age of seven, the horse was USDF Horse of the Year at Prix St. Georges level.
