HAGEN, Germany, April 26, 2025–Katharina Hemmer rode Denoix PCH to a personal best score just shy of 80% to win the Horses & Dreams CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday night.
Katharina and the 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding were awarded 79.465% to post a double victory, having won the Grand Prix. The horse is owned by America’s Nancy Gooding and Germany’s now retired team rider Hubertus Schmidt who rode Denoix until turning over the mount to fellow German Katharina two years ago.
The win gave Katharina and Denoix their 10th victory in 14 starts.
Sweden’s Patrik Kittel on Touchdown, the 13-year-old Swedish gelding, were not far behind as runner-up on 79.305%. Patrik and Touchdown won the 2024 World Cup.
Andreas Helgstrand of Denmark on the 11-year-old stallion Jovian, his 2023 European Championship team bronze medal mount, placed third on 77.470%.
