Isabell Werth and her Paris Olympic mount Wendy de Fontaine are both at the top of the latest FEI (International Equestrian Federation) rankings while Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour and Mount St. John Freestyle, victors over the German combination in the CDI5* Top 10, placed second.

Great Britain’s Charlotte Dujardin moved up to 9th in the world and Imhotep, her top horse, climbed up one spot to 7th although the rider has not competed since before the Olympics when she was suspended. The British pair moved one place ahead of Frederic Wandres and Bluetooth OLD that were on Germany’s gold medal team in Paris.

Riders and horses are ranked separately by the FEI, based on six performances over eight months with the latest rankings through to the end of November.

The latest calculations show Isabell and Wendy, 10-year-old Danish Warmblood mare, each with 2079 points, just seven ahead of Cathrine and Freestyle, 15-year-old Hanoverian mare, both on 2072 points.

Charlotte Fry of Great Britain on Glamourdale and the Netherlands’ Dinja van Liere on Hermes ranked 3rd and 4th, respectively.

Charlotte Dujardin, suspended the week before the Paris Olympics, was ranked 9th, up from 10th the previous month while the 11-year-old KWPN gelding Imhotep, stood 7th, up a spot from the end of October.

Frederic Wandres dropped one place to 10th and the 14-year-old Oldenburg gelding Bluetooth that he rode on Germany’s Olympic team dropped a spot to 8th.
