Barton VDL, an eight-year-old competition and breeding stallion, has been acquired for Sarah and Lee Tubman, based in Wellington, Florida.

The Oldenburg stallion (Bordeaux x Sir Donnerhall I) has competed successfully through Small Tour including Intermediate I Freestyle victory in a Netherlands national event.

Barton was bred by the VDL stud and bought by Jessica and Jeff Friedrich of Donata Farms and Teresa and Willard Simmons of Southern Cross Farm.

Primary focus will be on developing Barton as a top sport horse under Sarah and Lee Tubman. Frozen semen will be available for breeding.

Sarah was individual gold medalist on First Apple at Small Tour at the 2019 Pan American Games and team gold on First Apple at Grand Prix at the 2023 Pan Ams. Lee is a 3* dressage judge who devotes most of his time to coaching.
