STOCKHOLM, Nov. 30, 2024–Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour on Mount St. John Freestyle won the Top 10 CDI5* Grand Prix Saturday, the only partnership to score at least 80%, with Isabell Werth on Wendy de Fontaine runner-up.

Cathrine and the 15-year-old Hanoverian mare were awarded 81.609% close to the best for the pair in five international competitions beginning a year ago. The duo that led Denmark to Paris Olympic team silver was the unanimous choice for first place by the five judges.

Isabell, the German superstar and the most successful equestrian in Olympic history, was runner-up on her Paris Games mount, the 10-year-old Danish Warmblood mare, on 79.152%.

Dinja van Liere of the Netherlands on Hermes, 12-year-old KWPN stallion, scored 76.435% to place third.

Eight rider and horse combinations lined up for the start, but Denmark’s Daniel Bachmann Andersen on Marshall-Bell retired and Nanna Skodborg Merrald on Blue Hors Znickers was eliminated.
