TORONTO, Nov. 5, 2024–Canada’s Naïma Moreira Laliberté and her Olympic mount Statesman won the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Tuesday for a double victory at Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.
Naïma and the 17-year-old Hanoverian gelding were awarded 75.745% in the pair’s first competition since the Paris Games in July and the highest score for a musical performance in more than four years.
Olympic teammates Camille Carier Bergeron and Finnlanderin, 14-year-old Oldenburg mare, placed second on 73.600%.
Vanessa Creech-Terauds on the United States-bred gelding Daniel L rounded out a Canadian sweep of the podium with a score of 70.680% for third place.
