TROISDORF, Germany, Oct. 12, 2024–Felicitas Hendricks and her Drombusch OLD dominated the CDI3* Grand Prix Saturday, the pair’s first victory in the rider’s homeland since returning from the Florida winter circuit as the most successful Big Tour partnership.

Felicitas and the 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding on which she was the 2023 European Under-25 champion, scored 71.174% for the Grand Prix victory, the only score above 70%.

Felicitas first competed in Florida as a junior rider a decade ago and was successful on Faible AS up to Under-25 in 2021.

She began competing Drombusch during at Big Tour initially at the Global Dressage Festival in 2023, including on the German gold medal Nations Cup team and the top rated CDI5*. She went on to become the Under-25 European Champion in summer the same year.

On the 2024 Global circuit, the duo won seven of eight starts and was again on the German Nations Cup gold medal team and victorious in the CDI5* Grand Prix Freestyle.

She is coached by her uncle, Christoph Koschel.

Switzerland’s Carla Aeberhard on Delioh von Buchmatt CH, 16-year-old gelding, was runner-up on 67.891%.

Germany’s Nadine Plaster on the nine-year-old mare Shiva NRW placed third on 67.739%.
