HOOK, England, Oct. 7, 2024–Ellen McCarthy and Brave Heart won the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday in the British pair’s first international event since competing at last winter’s Florida circuit.
Ellen and the 10-year-old Oldenburg gelding were awarded 74.530% for their first victory since beginning Big Tour in June last year.
Lewis Carrier who won the Grand Prix a day earlier on Diego V, 16-year-old KWPN, was runner-up on 74.160%.
USA’s Ashley Holzer on Hawtins San Floriana, 12-year-old British-bred mare, placed third on 73.470%.
Ashley of Wellington, Florida who has owned the horse with Diane Fellows since the beginning of this year, competed San Floriana in Florida and Hagen, Germany.
Britain’s Richard White on Heroi Do Seixo scored 68.766% to win the CDI3* Grand Prix Special.
Nathalie Wahlund of Italy on Gorklintgards Scorpion was second on 68.724%.
