AACHEN, Germany, July 5, 2024–World champion partnership of Charlotte “Lottie” Fry and Glamourdale captured the CDI4* Grand Prix Special after earlier taking the Grand Prix in their final competition before the Olympics in three weeks.
Lottie and the 13-year-old stallion were awarded 80.107% with all five judges placing the pair first. The extended canter MXK earned four marks of 10.
Lottie and Glamourdale have been named to the British team for Paris along with Charlotte Dujardin on Imhotep and Carl Hester on Fame.
Isabell Werth on DSP Quantaz, 14-year-old German Sport Horse stallion was marked at 75.000% for runner-up.
Isabell is competing both Quantaz and Wendy de Fontaine on which she led the German team to victory in the CDIO5* Nations Cup.
The success on Wendy may have clinched a place on Germany’s team that would be the seventh Olympics for history’s most successful Olympian.
Fellow German Frederic Wandres on Duke of Britain FRH, the British-bred Hanoverian gelding, was third on 73.128%. Frederic is also competing Bluetooth OLD in the Nations Cup.
