HAGEN, Germany, June 9, 2024–Finland’s Henri Ruoste on Tiffanys Diamond won the Horses & Dreams CDI3* Grand Prix Special Sunday with Steffen Peters on Suppenkasper the top placed American as runner-up in the competition that will decide team results at the Paris Olympics.
Henri and the 12-year-old Danish Warmblood mare scored 74.894% for the win.
Steffen Peters on Suppenkasper, 16-year-old KWPN gelding, that were on the historic silver medal teams at the Tokyo Olympic and 2018 World Equestrian Games, scored 72.660%
If Steffen is selected for Paris next month, it will be his sixth Olympics.
Juliette Ramel of Sweden on Gideon K.H., 13-year-old KWPN gelding, placed third on 72.255%.
Ashley Holzer and Hansel,11-year-old KWPN gelding, scored 72.000% to place fourth. The pair were not selected for the U.S. Olympic short list but the Olympian for Canada before she switched to ride under the Stars ‘n’ Stripes brought Hansel to Europe to seek an opportunity to make the three-member team in Paris.
Two-time Olympian Adrienne Lyle on Helix, 12-year-old KWPN gelding was fifth on 71.979%, and third best American combination.
Marcus Orlob on the 10-year-old KWPN mare posted a personal best 71.936% to place sixth overall and the fourth highest U.S. duo.
