OLOMOUC, Czech Republic, May 25, 2024–Justina Vanagaite-Samuile on Nabab won the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday in the Lithuanian rider’s campaign for a third Final on the 11-year-old gelding.
Justina and the Belgian Warmblood gelding were awarded 75.685% in the pair’s first competition since this year’s Final at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia last month. The duo also competed at the Final in Omaha in 2023, as well as the 2022 World Championships and the 2021 and 2023 European Championships.
Austria Diana Porsche on Douglas, 16-year-old KWPN gelding, scored 74.095% for runner-up.
Maik Kohlschmidt of Germany on the 12-year-old Danish mare Pasadena placed third on 73.535%.
Justina earns first place 20 points in the Central European League that gets to send two riders to the Final in Basel, Switzerland next April.
Diana Porsche and other West European riders carry their points to the standings in the WEL although that circuit does not start until October.
