Hungary’s Jazmin Yom Tov on the nine-year-old stallion Konfucius won Budapest’s Pilisjászfalu World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Friday, the first qualifier anywhere for the 2025 Final.
The 22-year-old rider and the gray KWPN scored a personal best 74.740% for the win to earn 20 points toward seeking a start at the Final in Basel, Switzerland next April. Jazmin and Konfucis, runner-up in the Grand Prix a day earlier, also compete in the Under-25 division.
The pair were on Hungary’s silver medal team at the Tokyo Olympic qualifier in the same venue 11 months ago.
Poland’s Katarzyna Milczarek on Guapo, 13-year-old Portuguese Sport Horse and winner of Thursday’s Grand Prix, was runner-up in the Freestyle Friday on 72.135%.
This was the first of 13 qualifiers scheduled in Central Europe for two combinations from the region to earn a start at the Final in Basel next April 2-6.
The next CEL qualifier is in Olomouc, Czech Republic next week.
The North American League with eight qualifiers in the United States and one in Mexico begins in Devon, Pennsylvania Sept. 24-29. The FEI database lists one qualifier at TerraNova near Sarasota, Florida Oct. 17-20, three in Wellington during the Global Dressage Festival in 2025 and three in California–two at Thermal and one in Del Mar to decide on three places at the Final.
The Western European league has 11 events on the schedule.
