HAGEN, Germany, April 28, 2024–Charlotte Dujardin on Imhotep won the Horses & Dreams CDI4* Grand Prix Special Sunday to complete domination of this event heading to the Paris Olympics in three months.

Charlotte and the 11-year-old KWPN gelding scored 79.064% after capturing the Grand Prix earlier in the pair’s first competition of the year.

The last event for the combination was the World Cup qualifier in London at Christmas. Charlotte and Imhotep won gold on Britain’s team at the European Championships in 2023 and took silver at the 2022 World Championships.

Charlotte, aiming for her fourth Olympics after medal-winning performances at London in 2012, Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and Tokyo, also competed Alive and Kicking here for a double victory.

Frederic Wandres on Bluetooth OLD, a 14-year-old Oldenburg gelding that has been a star at Wellington, Florida the past three years, was runner-up on 76.532%. Frederic and Blueooth were on Germany’s silver medal team at last year’s European Championships.

Carl Hester on Fame, 14-year-old KWPN stallion, placed third on 75.809%. This was the first show for Carl and Fame since riding on Great Britain’s European Championships team to gold last September.
