HAGEN, Germany, April 27, 2024–Sönke Rothenberger and Matchball OLD posted a personal best score to win the Horses & Dreams CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday two days after capturing the Grand Prix.
Sönke, a 2016 Olympic team gold medalist, and the 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding, were awarded 80.945% for the first double victory in 13 months at Big Tour.
Sandra Sysojeva of Poland and the black eight-year-old Oldenburg mare Maxima Bella were runner-up on 77.270%.
Germany’s Ingrid Klimke on First Class placed third on 76.430%.
