HAGEN, Germany, April 26, 2024–Charlotte Dujardin rode Imhotep to victory in the Horses & Dreams CDI4* Grand Prix Friday a day after completing a sweep of the CDI3* on Alive and Kicking.
Charlotte and the 11-year-old KWPN gelding were awarded 77.478% for the win in the pair’s first competition of this Olympic year. The pair last competed at the Christmastime London World Cup event for a double win three months after leading Great Britain to gold at the European Championships. The duo took silver on the British team at the 2022 World Championships.
Frederic Wandres on Bluetooth OLD, a 14-year-old Oldenburg gelding that has been a star at Wellington, Florida the past three years was runner-up on 75.236%. Frederic and Blueooth were on Germany’s silver medal team at last year’s European Championships.
Carl Hester on Fame, 14-year-old KWPN stallion, was awarded 74.478% for third Carl and Fame were competing for the first time since riding on Great Britain’s European Championships team to gold last September.
