HAGEN, Germany, April 25, 2024–Sönke Rothenberger and Matchball OLD won the Horses & Dreams CDI4* Grand Prix Thursday as the 2016 Olympic rider pursues a place on Germany’s team for the Paris Games in three months.
Sonke and the 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding scored 73.348% for the victory.
Compatriot Ingrid Klimke on First Class, 12-year-old Hanoverion mare, was runner-up on 70.565%.
Poland’s Sandra Sysojeva on the eight-year-old Oldenburg mare Maxima Bella placed third on 70.130%.
