HAGEN, Germany, April 25, 2024–Charlotte Dujardin on Alive and Kicking captured Horses & Dreams CDI3* Grand Prix Special Thursday for a double victory for the British partnership and fourth straight win in their brief career.

Charlotte and the 10-year-old Westfalen mare scored 74.170% for the win a day after the three-time Olympian took the Grand Prix in their first outdoor international competition and three months before dressage starts at the Olympics in Paris. Their previous competition was for a double victory at an indoor show less than two months ago.

The combination were awarded numerous marks of 8 and a pair of 9s for the final centerline piaffe and transition of piaffe and passage.

Carl Hester, Charlotte’s long-time coach, was awarded 72.170% for runner-up as he was in the Grand Prix on En Vogue, his Tokyo Olympic mount. It was the first competition outing for the KWPN gelding now 15 years old, since September.

Sweden’s Sofie Lexner on Inoraline W, 11-year-old KWPN mare, were awarded 71.596% for third place, as they were in the Grand Prix. The horse performed its international debut early last month.
