Charlotte Dujardin on Alive and Kicking at Hagen, Germany Horses & Dreams

HAGEN, Germany, April 24, 2024–Charlotte Dujardin on Alive and Kicking was the clear winner of the Horses & Dreams CDI3* Grand Prix Wednesday in only the second international competition for the partnership.

Charlotte, ranked fifth in the world, and the 10-year-old Westfalen mare scored 74.848% for the win. The only previous competition for the British rider so far this Olympic year was on Alive and Kicking for a double victory less than two months ago.

Charlotte with gold, silver and bronze medals in her previous three Olympics is scheduled to compete Imhotep, 11-year-old KWPN gelding in the CDI4* here. She competed Imhotep at the 2022 World Championships on the silver medal team and 2023 European Championships to win team gold as well as individual and freestyle bronze medals.

Carl Hester, Charlotte’s long-time coach, rode En Vogue, his Tokyo Olympic mount, for runner-up on 72.761%. The KWPN gelding now 15 years old, was ridden by Carl on the British bronze medal team at Tokyo Olympics as well as the 2021 European Championships for team silver.

Sweden’s Sofie Lexner on Inoraline W, 11-year-old KWPN mare, were awarded 72.435% for third place in the pair’s second international event after their international debut early last month.
