MYAKKA CITY, Florida, April 7, 2024–Marcus Orlob and Jane won the TerraNova CDI3* Grand Prix Special Sunday for the first victory in only the second international competition for the partnership.
Marcus, who took over the ride on the 10-year-old KWPN mare just weeks ago, scored for a personal best 71.894% for the win two days after placing second by the narrowest of margins in the Grand Prix.
Owner Alice Tarjan posted 11 straight Medium Tour wins on Jane over a year before giving up the ride to Marcus, based in Loxahatchee, Florida, her long-time coach.
Jennifer Williams of Roy, Washington on the 10-year-old KWPN gelding, was runner-up on 70.723%. The duo won the Grand Prix.
Allison Carmichael of Greenwich, Conneciticut, o the 14-year-old KWPN gelding Figaro was third on 69.638%.
