MIAMI, April 6, 2024–Three United States dressage horses left Saturday on a journey that will take them halfway around the world to compete in the World Cup Final in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia April 16-20.

Indeed, 16-year-old Danish Warmblood mare ridden by Ben Ebeling; Dünensee, 15-year-old Hanoverian gelding competed by Kevin Kohmann, and Fayvel, 14-year-old KWPN gelding ridden by Anna Marek left Miami on a Dutta Corp. flight to Europe.

This is the first world championship for all three riders.

Ben Ebeling and Kevin Kohmann are based in Wellington and Anna Marek in Dunnellon, an Ocala area community.

Dünensee, a veteran traveler having competed in Europe, leaving his home at Diamante Farm in Wellington.

The horses will stable in Belgium for three days before going on to the next leg of the journey to Riyadh for the first Final in the Middle East.

Ben at the age of 24 is the youngest of the 17 riders from 12 nations in the dressage final that’s being staged along with the jumping annual championship.

Kevin rode for his homeland of Germany until switching to ride for the U.S. two years ago, and three months ago wed Devon Kane, the daughter of Terri Kane, owner of Dünensee and Diamante Farm in Wellington.
