HERNING, Denmark, Mar. 9, 2024–Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour and Mount St. John Freestyle won the CDI5* Grand Prix Special Saturday for the fourth straight win since taking over the ride on the 15-year-old mare three months ago.
Cathrine, a double Olympian for Denmark, and Freestyle scored 81.979% for the Special victory. A day earlier, the duo won the Grand Prix on 80.413%. In the pair’s debut last December, they scored more than 81% in two classes.
Freestyle was previously ridden by Charlotte Dujardin of Great Britain, including team and individual bronze medals at the 2018 Tryon World Equestrian Games.
Nanna Skodborg Merrald on Ble Hors Don Olymbrio placed second on 76.255% with fellow Dane Daniel Bachmann Andersen on Vayron third on 76.149%.
