WELLINGTON, Florida, Jan. 27, 2024–Erin Nichols rode Elian Royale to a personal best score to win the Global Dressage Festival CDI3* Grand Prix Special Saturday, only the second senior international competition for the 20-year-old Californian.
Erin of Yorba Linda, California and the 15-year-old KWPN gelding scored 70.468% for the win after moving up from the Under-25 division.
Erin competed in Europe last summer, including at young riders at the World Equestrian Festival in Aachen, Germany.
Great Britain’s Susan Pape on Harmony’s Eclectisch was runner-up on 69.617%.
Susan won the CDI4* Special on 71.979%
