OCALA, Florida, Nov 17, 2023–Kerrigan Gluch and the PRE gelding Mejorano HGF won the World Equestrian Center CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Friday night, their first musical performance victory.
Kerrigan of Ocala and the 12-year-old Mejorano owned by Hampton Green Farm were awarded 74.860% for the victory.
Kerrigan and the gray gelding have been partnered for the past two years and were on the U.S. Nations Cup team at Rotterdam in the pair’s first European competition tour last summer.
Yvonne Losos de Muñiz of the Dominican Republic and her 18-year-old KWPN mare Aquamarijn scored 72.970% for second place. The pair competed at the Tokyo Olympics, the 2022 World Championships, the 2019 and 2022 World Cup Finals and most recently at the Pan American Games in Santiago a month ago.
Germany’s Christoph Koschel on Eddieni, the 14-year-old KWPN gelding that topped the Grand Prix a day ago, scored 72.335% for third place.
