OCALA, Florida, Nov. 17, 2023–Jan Ebeling rode Jubi’s Tenacity to a personal best score to win the World Equestrian Center CDI3* Grand Prix Friday.
The score of 71.044%, the first mark above 70% for Jan, a 2012 Olympian, based in Wellington and the 13-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding and the second straight victory. The pair won the Grand Prix Special at Florida’s Terra Nova Equestrian Center last month. Jan began competing the horse owned by Ann Romney at the beginning of this year.
Emily Miles of LaCygne, Kansas was runner-up with Sole Mio on 68.283% in only the second Big Tour event for the nine-year-old Rhinelander gelding. Emily and Sole Mio won the U.S. Developing Grand Prix title in the summer.
Canada’s Denielle Gallagher and Come Back de Massa, 11-year-old Lusitano gelding, was third on 66.239%.
Competitors representing seven nations from three continents were in the CDI3* Grand Prix.
