LYON, France, Nov. 2, 2023–German team partnership of Frederic Wandres and Bluetooth OLD won the World Cup Grand Prix Thursday.

Frederic and the 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding scored 77.043%for the eighth win so far this year, six of them at Wellington, Florida.

Frederic and Bluetooth. ranked No. 7 in the world, were on Germany’s silver medal team at the European Championships two months ago.

Denmark’s Nanna Skodberg Merrald and Blue Hors St. Schufro, 12-year-old Hanoverian stallion, was runner-up on 74.044%.

Emmelie Scholtens of the Netherlands and the 10-year-old KWPN stallion Indian Rock,  placed third on 73.304%.

The Freestyle, the second in the Western European League leading to the Final in Saudi Arabia next April, is scheduled for Friday.
