Maria Caetano and Horizonte in Madrid’s King’s Cup.

MADRID, Oct.20, 2023–Maria Caetano of Portugal rode the Lusitano stallion Horizonte to a personal best score to easily win the King’s Cup CDI3* Grand Prix Friday.

Maria and the 11-year-old Horizonte were awarded 73.891% for the victory in only the fourth CDI Grand Prix for the pair. The result was the only score above 70%.

Spain’s Juan Antonio Jimenez Cobo on Quartar, nine-year-old Hanoverian stallion, was runner-up on 68.065%.

Ricardpo Reis, also of Portugal, on Imperador d’Cabecao, 10-year-old Lusitano stallion, was third on 66.261%.
