BIALY LAS, Poland, Aug. 20, 2023–Morgan Barbançon on Sir Donnerhall II OLD, Olympic and championship partnership for France, won the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday.

The victory for Morgan and the 17-year-old Oldenburg gelding was on a score of 77.845% and the rider’s third World Cup win this year in pursuit of a start in the final in Saudi Arabia next April.

Although qualifiers have not yet started in Western Europe, Morgan has earned 30 points in Central Europe that transfer to her home league and put her atop the WEL standings.

Morgan and Sir Donnerhall competed at the Tokyo Olympics, the 2022 World Championships, four World Cup Finals–three for France and one when she was riding for Spain–and two European Championships.

Germany’s Raphael Netz on Great Escape Camelot, 12-year-old KWPN gelding, was runner-up on 76.830%.

Justina Vanagaite of Lithuania on the 10-year-old Nabab was the top placed Central European finishing third on 73.490%.

Justina and the Belgian Warmblood gelding that competed in Omaha this year lead the standings in Central Europe that gets to send two combinations to the Final.
