Great Britain’s Becky Moody and Jagerbomb make the most dramatic jump up in the latest world rankings with the rider moving into the top 50 after successes in England since launching the nine-year-old home-bred horse’s Big Tour career three months ago.
Becky’s ranking jumped to 44th as of the end of July, up from 258th the previous month in the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) standings that have been separate for riders and horses for the past 11 months.
Jagerbomb, a KWPN registered gelding that Becky bred, climbed to 52nd in the world from 303rd the previous month.
In six starts at Grand Prix in three English CDIs beginning in March, Becky and Jagerbomb posted two victories, one second place, one third, a fourth and a fifth.
Official records show that Becky competed Carinsio, KWPN gelding, at the World 5-Year-Old Championships in 2012 and competed the KWPN gelding for Britain at Small Tour in the Nations Cup in 2015 and two years later on the team at Grand Prix.
Jessica von Bredow-Werndl remained at No. 1 as did TSF Dalera BB, the mare on which she was Olympic and European champion and double World Cup victor.
Charlotte “Lottie” Fry was second ranked as was her world championship gold medal mount Glamourdale while Denmark’s Nanna Skodborg Merrald and Blue Hors Zepter both remained at No. 3.
