KRONBERG, Germany, July 15, 2023–Maria Caetano of Portugal posted a personal best score on the Lusitano stallion Fenix de Tineo to win the CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday. Austria’s Victoria Max-Theurer on Birkhof’s Topas FBW were victorious in the Special.

Maria and the 13-year-old Fenix de Tineo, on Portugal’s team at the Tokyo Olympics and the 2022 World Championships, scored 75.200% for the musical performance and the fourth victory in seven starts so far this year.

Germany’s Franziska Stieglmaier on Samurai, 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding, was runner-up on 74.610%, also a personal best.

Claudio Castille Ruiz of Spain on the 12-year-old Hanoverian stallion Lario de Adama de Susa was third on 74.345%.

Victoria Max-Theurer on Birkhof’s Topas FBW, 12-year-old German Sport Horse stallion, won the Special on 73.021%, the sixth win 10 starts so far this year.

Nicolas Wagner Ehlinger of Luxembourg on Quater Back Junior FRH, 14-year-old Hanoverian gelding, was runner-up on 72.766%.

Germany’s Lisa Müller on Gut Wettlkam’s D’avie FRH placed third on 72.021%.

Sarah Tubman of Wellington, Florida and the 13-year-old KWPN stallion First Apple were fourth on 71.128%.
