SAMORIN, Slovakia, June 18, 2023–Justina Vanagaite and Nabab won the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday for the Lithuanian rider’s third victory to lengthen her lead in the Central European League.
Justina and and the 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding scored 75.765% for the win to give the pair 60 points toward qualifying for the Final in Saudi Arabia next April. The duo that competed at the 2022 World Championships and the 2021 Europeans were popular at this year’s Final in Omaha, their first World Cup championship.
Austria’s Katharina Haas on Let It Be NRW, 13-year-old Westfalen mare, was runner-up on 72.065%.
Slovakia’s Michael Bugan on the 15-year-old Austrian Warmblood gelding For President placed third on 70.855% to move the rider into second place on the Central European standings.
The next qualifier for the league is Kunkiai, Lithuania July 6-9.
