HAGEN, Germany, June 12, 2023–Denmark’s Daniel Bachmann Andersen and Zippo M.I. won the Aachen Dressage Days CDI3* Grand Prix Monday with Finnish riders runner-up and third placed.
Daniel and the 11-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding scored 74.522% for the pair’s first CDI Grand Prix victory in 13 months at Big Tour. The duo won a Nations Cup Special in July, 2022.
Henri Ruoste of Finland on Campari, 15-year-old Hanoverian stallion making its CDI Grand Prix debut, was runner-up on 73.935%.
Fellow Finn Anna Tallberg on the 13-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding Grevens Zorro was third on 72.826%.
Of three U.S. riders in the competition, all based in Wellington, Florida, Sarah Tubman and First Apple, 13-year-old KWPN stallion scored 70.360% to place eighth.
Kevin Kohmann rode Dünensee, a 14-year-old Hanoverian gelding, to a personal best score of 69.913% for ninth.
Susan Dutta and the 13-year-old Hanoverian gelding Don Design DC was 17th on 67.044%.
