PILISJÁSZFALU, Hungary, June 7, 2023–Hungary, Israel and Poland square off Thursday in the CDIO3* Grand Prix to seek a team start at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Hungary’s Csaba Szokola on Enying will kick off the competition of the three countries–plus Germany that was one of six nations to qualify at last year’s World Championships–at 12:15 p.m. Central European Time/6:15 a.m. US Eastern.

The team from Olympic Group C that wins the Grand Prix earns the start in Paris.

The event in the Budapest area is one of several to decide the 15 nations to start teams of three riders and horses in Paris. France, as the host nation, is awarded a starting place.
Denmark, Great Britain, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands and United States qualified at the 2022 World Championships as did Australia representing Olympic Group G.
The three highest ranked teams from the European Championships in September, the two highest ranked teams from the Pan American Games in October and one from Group F at an event still to be decided–all excluding countries already qualified–will complete the lineup.
