MUNICH, Germany, May 21, 2023–Frederic Wandres and his German team partner Duke of Britain FRH won the CDI5* Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday to complete a successful return to competition after a six month break.

Frederic and the 16-year-old British-bred Hanoverian gelding scored 82.805% for the win two days after posting a personal best score to capture the Grand Prix.

Frederic and Duke of Britain were on Germany’s world championship bronze medal team last year and the European Championships in Germany are a goal for later this year.

The rider has competed at Wellington’s Global Dressage Festival the past three years, though during winter the horse remains at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen, Germany where Frederic is the center’s rider.
