MUNICH, Germany, May 20, 2023–Sweden’s Olympic and championship team partnership of Therese Nilshagen and Dante Weltino OLD on Saturday won the Pferd International CDI5* Grand Prix Special in the eighth year at Big Tour.

Therese and the 16-year-old stallion scored 75.043% for victory following the pair’s second place  in the Grand Prix Friday.

Since beginning international Grand Prix in 2016, the duo’s record includes the Tokyo Olympics, 2018 and 2022 world championships and this year could add a fourth European Championships as well as Dante Weltino being one of the top dressage breeding stallions.

German team gold medal rider Dorothee Schneider and the 13-year-old German Sport Horse gelding First Romance were runner-up on 74.596%.

Fellow German Katharina Hemmer and Denoix PCH, 11-year-old Oldenburg stallion, placed third on a personal best 73.085%.
